This Privacy Policy explains how The Big Lease, Inc. (“we,” “us”), operator of the Akard website at akard.ai (the “Site”), collects, uses, and shares personal information. By using the Site you agree to this Policy.
Information we collect
- Information you provide. When you submit the engagement application, we collect your name, email address, company/organization, role, and the details you choose to share about your operation. When you contact us, we collect your email and message.
- Information collected automatically. Our hosting and content-delivery providers receive your IP address, browser/device type, and timestamps in server logs for security and reliability. Fonts are self-hosted and we do not use advertising or analytics cookies. A service worker may cache pages in your browser to make navigation faster.
How we use information
- To review your engagement application and respond with a scoped proposal;
- To provide, secure, and improve the Site;
- To send service communications and, where permitted, updates you may unsubscribe from at any time;
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
Service providers
We share personal information only with vendors who process it on our behalf under contract, such as our website host and email provider. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Engagement submissions are reviewed only by Akard’s intake and are not retained beyond the engagement file.
International visitors
Akard serves operators worldwide. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or de-identify it.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live (including under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and the EU/UK GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. Security
We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Children
The Site is a business service, is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
